Love and Family

I recently saw this play and realize his message was about family and the choices we make.
Family Reunion
 
 Family is where we build our core values about love.  Don't ever under estimate that.  God's desire. From car pooling to cooking in the kitchen is a teachable moment.

  I realize as a divorce mother I did not provide enough information about love and relationships. As a functional family you can empower your family to do great things.

  I recently told a friend of mine how clear the love in her family values is displayed in  four generations.  She really
can write a book. As a matter of fact we all have a story to tell . Stories that have been pass down thru generations of love.

The definition of Love is:
a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.
  
As a grandmother, mother and human being I try to express my feelings
of love each time I see or speak  with my love ones.  Either with the words I speak I love you or a hug.
My grandson recently told me I don't love you or mommie.  Well I had to stop and take a moment and explain to him what love is from a 5 year old point of view.  Love is intangible and loyal . No price tag can be place on it. 

This week is about love self and how we interact with each other as human beings.  If you are asking why? In the next few weeks we have serious decisions to make and work to do. Every man and woman must have a strong sense of purpose and self in order to get the job done.

 As a random act of kindness check in with a love one. Make sure they are able to take on our journey.  Be a Blessing give a Blessing of Love and support.

The best defense is a good offense.  Begin your day with prayer and a smile. Everything else will fall into place like attitude and self image.  I remember a co-working asking do you always smile?  I said yes and continue walking pass her and thought to myself (there goes one of the cloud of doom sisters) we all know that group.  During the course of any given day we are face with all types of challenges that can rock our world.

Years ago I remember Dr. Barbara King doing a sermon about when the devil got your joy. He's got your good.  That thought stayed with me.

As a random act of kindness greet everyone with a positive affirmation like (I behold the Christ in you) and a smile. It works. Even if you have family members that want to take you to another place.

Work to do

. While dressing in the early morning the first layer of mental dress should be the armor of God. 

 When you return home from your business or job after 8hrs, care for your family,clean and cook.  You still have work to do. With the armor of God you will be equip to take a stand on political and social issues. Life does not end at the front door Boo. We have a moral and spiritual obligation to take a stand on what is fair and just




Lost in communication with the youth of today we have
not told them this is how we got our point across in the 60's. By the way with their suits on.  Along with determination and Prayer Dr. Martin Luther King  knew how to take it to the streets.  From Ferguson to Florida and  the entire World, should take a page from Martin Luther King's life and  social change.  If Nelson Mandela studied King.  Come on people it's a no brainer

        Stand

        Malcolm X
        12 If an enemy were insulting me,

        In March 1964, Malcolm terminated his relationship with the Nation of Islam. Unable to look past Muhammad's deception, Malcolm decided to found his own religious organization, the Muslim Mosque, Inc.

        That same year, Malcolm went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, which proved to be life altering for him. For the first time, Malcolm shared his thoughts and beliefs with different cultures and found the response to be overwhelmingly positive. When he returned, Malcolm said he had met "blonde-haired, blued-eyed men I could call my brothers." He returned to the United States with a new outlook on integration and a new hope for the future. This time when Malcolm spoke, instead of just preaching 
        to African-Americans, he had a message for all races.

        I am glad Malcolm X went to Mecca to realize that we are all equal.  He really did not have to leave home for that. He could have pick up the Holy Bible to realize that. I am addressing the Islamic ministry because we have so many misguided people seeking somewhere to belong.

        I am overjoyed about my recent visit to Morocco and hearing the Pope speak. Such life changing experiences can remind each of us about our purpose in life.

        As a random act of kindness let someone know you do not have to leave home to seek God.  Be a Blessing give a Blessing of direction.
