Teachers Wish List

Since the school year is in session across America. I have found many teachers and the administrators  have a wish list for parents.

1. First day of school bring your child.(elementary)
2. If school starts on Monday. Tues and Thurs is not an option
3. Begin the school year on a positive note.  Attending Weave World is not more important than education
4. Do not ask the front office to fill out Govt. forms when your child is not present.
5. If your child needs immunizations get it done. More important than Happy Hour.
6. If you can get to the club on time for free admission you can get your child to school on time
7. Attend PTA and meet their teachers. Know the expectations
8. Turn off the TV. Check homework
9. If your child is not socialize (respecting authority) You might need to  home school
10.Buy cloths for school not the beach or club
11. Make sure your child eats breakfast
12.Get school supplies

Help!

As a child I always volunteered with my mom at our church St. Paul we attended weekly. My mother called it giving back. When I moved to Atlanta my mother also told me to join a faith based church. I did.  As an adult I have volunteered for March of Dime  ,United Way, Young Democrats of Georgia, Andrew Young mayoral race and Barack Obama .  The point is in order to make a change we must be involved in our communities.

As a random act of kindness give money or time in your community .  What ever we give it appreciated and needed.  Like God said in Genesis 2:18 we are predestine to be helpers.   Be a Blessing give a Blessing.

As parents we must teach our kids that we have an equal place in society. With God, knowledge, Faith, determination and our assistance they can do it.

In most states across America the school year is just beginning.  We must include in our family teachings with our children conflict resolutions with words not bullets.

Kylie Simonds, from Naugatuck, Connecticut, understands what the struggle with cancer entails. The 11-year-old says she remembers struggling to walk around with IV poles, after she was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma -- a connective tissue cancer -- three years ago, according to WTNH. That's why she invented a pediatric IV backpack: a wearable, portable IV machine for kids receiving chemotherapy or transfusions. The bag even comes in colorful designs.

 Teens today need to be aware of many things.

   In all that I do as a teen and a young man I am aware of my environment; I make good choices and use technology wisely because in the future I plan to be the great man I know I will be.

 I went to a residential camp this summer at Purdue University for two weeks. I had to manage my money, time and resources. I had to be very mindful of my data usage. I, also, had to follow rules; respect boundaries and manage my expectations.

First, teens need to know their environment. Bad things can happen anywhere. Know what's around you.
Second, teens need to make good decisions. Bad decisions can dramatically impact your future.
Last, teens must  to use technology wisely. Technology is evolving -- but teens need to use it in good ways; not bad ways.

We covered chaos in the world and how in most cases can be eliminated beginning at home. As parents we can start with speaking and teaching Gods word to our children. Gods word is also known as truth teachings.

Around the world from then the Gaza strip to Charleston  South Carolina we have witness hate crimes. For what?

These hate crimes began long before we were born ,before Christ.  That's why God sent his only begotten son to help us out.

Entitlement around the world is a huge problem. From a carjacking in Atlanta to the Gaza strip in the middle east.

 Don't get it twisted from the color of your skin to the money you may have in your bank account we are created equal in the eyes of God.  Because when we die none of the above really matters. Let love and peace begin in your heart and home so that it can be taken to the streets.

Finally, we must care enough to discuss what's wrong and find a good approach for resolution. We must resolve that together .because interaction does not work for everyone. And realize that sometimes distance makes for the best family comfort.  Some folks are simply meant to be left alone. You simply pray for your wayward family member and say, go with God. We must transcend our conditions.

Chaos in the streets usually begin's at home.  We all need to discuss at home many what if situations that may occur in the streets. Like armed robbery, car jacking ,gangs, kidnapping and white
supremacist  .

Brown, who was unarmed, was shot one year ago by a Ferguson police officer while walking with a friend down the center of the street. Police have said a scuffle broke out after the officer asked the boys to move to the side. Witnesses say Brown's arms were in the air — in a sign of surrender — as a white policeman repeatedly shot the black youth.

As a mother I know it is terrible to lose your child to a bullet. If your child is shot by a gang member,Police officer or stranger.  The chasos in the streets of  America apparently has been building up for years. It needs to stop.  For all White supremacist hiding behind a shield,   Florida's stand your ground law does not apply. It's time for some old fashion dialog . Because Blacks and Hispanics are here to stay.
To all parents discuss the 10 commandments with your kids. the 6 commandment thou shall not kill and 8 thou shall not steal is not an option with God or our society.  You would be amazed at how many parents think their children will figure it out.  Don't leave the written word of God to chance.

We will surely get the answers with the help of God, FBI and Rev. Al Sharpton aka( Pit Bull).  It is obvious there is Chaos in the life of  many  police officers in cities  across America and Families.

Chaos in the Family

Chaos in the family starts early and often. Big Momma doesn't like Auntie. Auntie and Uncle aren't married. Junebug went to jail when he was 17. Baby Sister is a lesbian. Latika isn't right in the head!  So, what! We have always had scandal and unfortunate circumstances in our families. We have always had mental illness, heart disease, stroke, debt, crime and bad "A" kids. Our lives our sometimes twisted and complicated. Denial doesn't help; it's nothing to be ashamed of. Whew! In my  family we just laugh it off and say next!

But, we are still a family. First, we must learn to be a family. What does it mean to be a family? Do we really understand the term family unit? It means supporting one another endeavors; offering guidance, advice

At 7 years old, Zora Ball has become the youngest person to create a mobile video game. The Philadelphia native developed the game using programming language Bootstrap, usually taught to students between the ages of 12 and 16 to help them learn concepts of algebra through video game development.

Roland Martin talks to Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake about the city of Baltimore’s curfew to keep their kids safe. Her decison however, has been met with much criticism from various groups around the city.
“The curfew has been in place for more than 20 years. What we did was updated the curfew law, took away the penalty of jail. It’s a different curfew in the summer and the school year. It is very similar to what we’ve been enforcing,” she says.

in when the street lights came on. That was called accountability.  Parents could account for their children and children could account for their actions. I love this law because parents must take parenting classes if their 14yr can not follow the rules.  The City of Chicago should try this, you think?    Rahm give Mayor Rawlings a holla!  My question is why aren't parents across America
asking for stronger curfew laws. Your comments are welcome.

Today more than ever parents our children need to know they are from God. It is much easier when it comes to critical thinking decision making.

Jaylen should be joining a sorority not ISIS.  What we discuss as family prepares our children about all social issues.  I have stated before God is about love.  He would never ask anyone to perform a terrorist act.

I love to see young people exercise their faith in God. We all know man will fail you God won't.  This entire week we will focus on our family and youth. The importance of God and Family



 Douglas was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to parents Timothy Douglas and Natalie Hawkins.[5] She has three siblings.[6] She began training in gymnastics at age four when her older sister, Arielle, convinced their mother to enroll her in gymnastics classes.[7] In October 2002, Douglas began her training at Gymstrada Gymnastics in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In July 2004, she left Gymstrada and began training at Excalibur Gymnastics.[8][9]

 Douglas is a Christian. Douglas has spoken about her faith saying, "I believe in God. He is the secret of my success. He gives people talent”[53] and "... I love sharing about my faith. God has given me this amazing God-given talent, so I'm going to go out and glorify His name."[54] Douglas' mother says her name means 'God's abled-bodied one'

Of course Gabby has qualified for 2016 Olympics.  What a way to go Gabby!

I love Pope Francis he keeps it real. This past weekend Pope Francis spoke about what happiness is.

1. Let everyone be themselves. “The Romans have a saying, which can be taken as a point of reference,” Pope Francis said. “They say: Campa e lascia campĂ  (Live and let live). That’s the first step to peace and happiness.”
2. Give yourself tirelessly to others. “If one gets tired, one runs the risk of being egoistic, and stagnant water is the first to be corrupted.”
3. Walk softly.
4. Be available to your kids and family. "Consumerism has led to the anxiety of losing," the pope said, which has pushed people to spend less time at home and more time pursuing wealth. But Pope Francis said people should invest more time in "healthy leisure":
“It is hard. The parents go to work and come back when the children are asleep. [But] it must be done.”
5. Spend Sundays (or a day of rest) with family. This connects back to the fourth point -- make the intention to set time aside for loved ones, despite the pressures of work.
6. Work toward empowering young people. The pope discussed the need to find creative ways to help young people secure employment so that they may feel the “dignity of bringing home the bacon.”
7. Care for the environment. For this Pope Francis echoed his earlier remarks that we must protect God's "special gift" of Creation.

8. Move on. Pope Francis encouraged finding ways to more quickly move forward after negative experiences. Forgiveness is key for this, as is having the willingness to let the next moment be better than the last.
9. Respect others' opinions. This ties back to the first point. We won't agree with everyone's beliefs or lifestyles, but that does not inherently make them any less valid.
10. Actively strive for peace.

 It is evident that the President and Michelle Obama put in the time needed for family.
As parents if you are lost for words start with the 10 commandments. The 6th commandment thou
shall not kill is very relevant in today's society.  We should all exercise due diligence with our kids. It is known in our society we must put in the time to care and talk. As a parent you will pay now or later. The fact is we will pay.  It is a life or death decision.

Children are like sponges they can pick up the good,bad and ugly quickly. Home is where we begin to develop our learning skills.  As parents be mindful of how you treat people. Someone is always watching you. First God then your kids.

 Jaylen Bledsoe, 15, of Hazelwood, Mo., however, is just that rare breed of high school sophomore. He started his own tech company that specializes in web design and other IT services, Bledsoe Technologies, when he was just 13 years old and worked to expand it into a global enterprise now worth around $3.5 million, Fox 2 in St. Louis reports. The local news station followed up with Bledsoe on Monday after first interviewing the teen back in March 2012. Since that first interview, Bledsoe has grown his company from two workers to about 150 contracted employees in order to meet demand

It takes less energy to dream big and positive than to think evil and negative.  What a way to go Jaylin Bledsoe.

Knowledge

It is almost that time for school to start.  Most parents are thrilled. to get their love ones out of their hair. Honestly the spiritual  education process is a life long process for adults and children. Yes we are never to old to learn.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.


However, thankfully some parents have successfully devised ways to create a nurturing and supporting educational environment. Take for example the parents of  young Black prodigy, twelve year-old, Stephen R. Stafford, II who is currently a student at Morehouse College. His parents took an active role to address the inadequate learning environment their child was experiencing.
In addition, Stephen’s mother Michelle Brown-Stafford now offers a website to help other parents uncover practical alternatives and solutions for today’s learning dilemmas. This is the type of sharing that is part of our culture. As we re-emphasize these values we can begin to address education, economic development, and race esteem simultaneously

Choices

It's that time of the of the year again.   Time for our kids to go back to school.  As parents we have a moral and spiritual obligation to educate and motivate our future leaders.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

At 14 years old, Tony Hansberry Jr. developed a new suture method for hysterectomy patients. As a result of the work of the young genius, the time it takes doctors to perform hysterectomies and the potential risk of complications has been reduced.

At age 12, Hansberry’s parents exposed him to the field of medicine by sending him to the Darnell-Cookman School of the Medical Arts in Jacksonville, Fla.
His invention came about when they sent him to an internship at the University of Florida’s Center for Simulation Education the next summer, where he was able to participate in hands-on simulated medical work.
This  entire week will dedicated to kids who have chosen to use their God given treasures for positive living. I am sure you notice all of the young people like Tony has a positive strong parent.  At 12 Tony's parents choice to send him to Darnell Cookman was great.
