Pope Francis

As we wind down lent we will continue with  the purpose  of Jesus Christ. This is his season. Jesus Christ knew his purpose was to deliver God's message and to create messengers to do so like Pope Francis.

Matthew 5:1-6

King James Version (KJV)make

PHOTO: U.S. President Barack Obama meets with Pope Francis, March 27, 2014 at the Vatican.
Pope Francis and President Barack Obama

And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

I love Pope Francis!  He is the first and only Pope I know of to break tradition.  Pope Francis is the first Pope to  fire over 500 Priests that performed sexual acts with children (pedophiles). History shows those Priests were usually transfer to another church and repeat the same crime.  Pope Francis also has washed women's feet. Let me not forget to mention he Blessed our very own President Barack Obama. We all know the President needs a Blessing like all of us.
Today as you perform a random act of kindness break tradition like the Pope.  Pope Francis was
once a bartender and bouncer. If he can change you can too.

As a random act let someone know they can change like Pope Francis.  Be a Blessing and display a Blessing of encouragement.

Word

Revelation 1:3

King James Version (KJV)

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

God provided us with so much information he wanted us to read his word and gain knowledge and wisdom. So many of us believe that the Bible contains information that is not relevant to life today. That is far from the truth. If you feel like that pick up a book from an author that will make you think like Maya Angelou.

As she turned 80, the celebrated author, poet and artist Maya Angelou stated she has figured out how to get divine attention.

"When I try to describe myself to God I say, 'Lord, remember me? Black? Female? Six-foot tall? The writer?' And I almost always get God's attention," Angelou tells NPR's Lynn Neary with a laugh.
Though she feels she sometimes needs to remind God she's still around, the rest of the world needs no prompting. Angelou, whose books of essays and poetry have sold millions of copies, was an inspirational figure long before her acclaimed memoir I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings was published in 1969
Maya Angelou will wind down the month for Women of March. Today when you perform a random act of kindness remember like Maya Angelou you too have a story to tell.  Yes reading is good for the heart and soul.
What will the last paragraph of your life say? Have a nice day be Bless!

Feminism

Equality has always been a challenge for women. I can not believe today  Congress is still discussing a  woman's reproductive rights and abortions. We really need to sponsor a bill about the Penis. Put it on the chopping block like birth control. You think!

Matthew 10:31-33

King James Version (KJV)

31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.at

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Happy 80th Birthday, Gloria Steinem!

For many of us, Gloria is the leader who embodies feminism, who pushed the women's movement into the mainstream, who voices so articulately what we feel in our hearts but can't yet communicate in words, and whose dedication to equailty is something we should all at least attempt to model. 1963 Gloria went undercover at the Playboy club in New York city to explain to the Bunnies that they were being under paid and exploited. When you get a chance read Gloria's timeline .
As a random act of kindness let a young woman know the world is her oyster.  Be a Blessing give a Blessing!

Beauty

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We have all heard that at some point in our life.  Each day as you awaken the question is.  Do you like what you see on the inside of your soul?  What do you radiate love, Peace and Christ like thoughts?

Psalm 27:4
King James Version (KJV)
Eunice Johnson

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

The truth is beauty is a state of mind that is filled with God like thoughts.

Born Eunice Walker on April 4, 1916, in Selma, Alabama, she graduated with a degree in sociology from Talladega College in 1938. She met her future husband, John H. Johnson, in 1940 while she was attending Loyola University Chicago and was married after she earned her master's degree the following year.[3]

Ebony Fashion Fair & Cosmetics

The Ebony Fashion Tour began as a fundraiser that she created in 1958 for a hospital in New Orleans. In its half century of existence, the tour visited 200 cities across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, raising over $50 million for charity. The fashion tour was a pioneer in using African-American models on the runway and helped highlight the works of African-American designers. Building on her difficulties in finding cosmetics suited to the skin tones of her models, Johnson created Fashion Fair Cosmetics in 1973 as a line of makeup that would be sold in leading department stores.[3]
This wraps up March women of Greatness.

Today before you perform a random act of kindness remember the beauty within you.  Be Blessed!

Pioneer

Ruby Bridges
Today you can consider Jesus Christ the original pioneer of justice.

To become a pioneer it takes  a strong belief in God.

Psalm 89:14-15

King James Version (KJV)
14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy

Born on September 8, 1954, in Tylertown, Mississippi, Ruby Bridges was 6 when she became the first African-American child to integrate a white Southern elementary school, having to be escorted to class by her mother and U.S. marshals due to violent mobs. Bridges' bravery paved the way for continued Civil Rights action and she's shared her story with future generations in educational forums.
While performing your random act of kindness remember we are born as innocent children to love like Ruby Bridges. Hate is pass on thru generations. We can all start at home.  Have a Blessed Day.

Courage

Psalm 27:14

King James Version (KJV)

Eleanor Roosevelt

14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.pilot

The Tuskegee Airman had courage to complete the Pilot program only to be told over and over that
they were not equal to their white colleagues. Then along came the first Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.
Eleanor Roosevelt was a woman of conviction and courage. She demonstrated both by climbing into the back seat of a J-3 Piper Cub, flown by an African American pilot, at a time when most Americans were convinced that blacks had neither the physical nor mental capacity to safely fly aircraft.
You must  admit she had the ball's to cross the line of social injustice. Today as you perform a random act of kindness. Like the First Lady be bold and be brave.  Have a wonder Bless day!

Happy!

I am so glad March is the month to celebrate all women.  Most women don't realize we really have it going on. As we enter another season. It is time for all men and women to do some spring cleaning. Start with your mind. Get rid of all those evil negative thoughts that prevent you from being happy with yourself or anyone else.

Psalm 146:5

King James Version (KJV)
Cathy Hughes

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:

While clearing your mind to clear happiness remember you can not be double minded. You can not be a hypocrite with God. Decide on how you want to live and commit to it.

Wisdom

Iyanla Vanzant

We are going to continue the month of March celebrating the greatness of Women.

At birth God gifted all of us with the faculty of Wisdom. As a child it is developed within our families by telling us right from wrong. As we grow older it is up to each individual to fine tune this gift.

Psalm 119:97-99

King James Version (KJV)
97 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

One of my all time favorites Iyanla Vanzant. As a Spiritual writer Iyanla knows how to bring home.
Vanzant was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 13, 1953, as Ronda Eva Harris. She was given the title "Iyanla", which means "great mother" after being initiated and ordained witas a Minister in the Yoruba tradition (as mentioned in her television interview on the Conn Jackson show). She currently resides in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.[1] She is also a Yoruba priestess and an ordained New Thought minister.[eir
You can catch Iyanla on OWN. Her show is Iyanla Fix my life. If you watch her show you will realize what she is teaching  are common sense messages that have been established by God and delivered by Jesus. Many of us choose to ignore wisdom for so many selfish reasons like greed.

After experiencing many life changing challenges like the loss of a child. Iyanla develop her own faculty of Wisdom. Today she is sharing her gift with others so that they can enjoy the love God intended for all .

Show someone today their gift of Wisdom (common sense). That would be a perfect act of kindness.  Be Blessed!

Justice: When a Woman's Fed Up!

We must continue to celebrate all women even the ones that have been unjustly treated.

Psalm 82:2-5

King James Version (KJV)

How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Image result for Marissa Alexander Update
Marissa Alexander was sentenced to 20 years of prison time for firing a warning shot to stop her abuser from hurting her. She was granted a re-trial because of national outrage over the case. But now, Florida state attorney Angela Corey is pushing for an even harsher sentence--60 years.
It's outrageous.
Even more so when you consider that the average prison sentence of men who kill their female partners is 2 to 6 years. You read that right. 2 to 6 years. And Florida state attorney Corey is pushing 60 years for a woman who fired a warning shot that didn't even hurt anyone!

If George Zimmerman can get away with murder for killing Treyvon Martin surely Marissa should not be in jail for firing a warning shot.  Seem's to me Florida States Attorney Angela Corey needs a new career.  Justice is not working.  As a random act of kindness voice your opinion on Facebook for Marissa Alexander.

In Charge

God has a path that women as a mother and wife should be on. For some women like me it's hard to summit when we are always the head of household even when married.

Ephesians 5:22-25

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

This is what God intended if you have a real man. Listen to what Chimanda has to say what we should tell our kids .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg3umXU_qWc&feature=player_embedded
I love her message I just need to find a real good man with Christ like common sense.

The 36-year-old novelist was born and raised in Nigeria, where she lives with her husband, after spending many years in the United States completing an undergraduate and two Master's degrees. Ngozi is best known for her books -- Half of a Yellow Sun (which was adapted into a film that will be released this summer) and the critically praised Americanah, which was named one of the New York Times Book Review's best books of 2013
And now of course, people have been praising Adichie for bringing feminist activism into mainstream pop culture. (She is also quite vocal on other social issues, including being an outspoken opponent of Nigeria's anti-gay legislation.)
Adichie spoke with The Huffington Post about why it's hard for some young women to embrace the term "feminism," advice her mother gave her and one issue American women should pay attention to in 2014.
How do you define success and do you consider yourself successful by that measure?
Do I consider myself successful? I don’t really think in those terms. But if I said yes, I would need to counter it by saying it’s not the end. I think it’s very easy to say “yes, I consider myself successful and I’m there.” I feel very fortunate that I’m doing what I love and I’m earning my living from doing it, but there’s so much more I want to do

Of course .God would like the man lead if he has good sense. While performing a random act of kindness think about the message you are giving . Be Blessed!

Strength

Zechariah 10:12

Hillary Clinton
King James Version (KJV)

12 And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord.

Hillary Clinton is a pillar of strength, all woman can take a page from her play book. She is indeed one of Chicago"s finest.
Hillary Clinton grew up in a Methodist household, she taught Methodist Sunday school like her mother, is a member of a Senate prayer group,.   For 15 years, Hillary Clinton has been part of a secretive religious group that seeks to bring Jesus back to Capitol Hill.
Hillary Diane Clinton was born Hillary Diane Rodham on October 26, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in Park Ridge, Illinois, a picturesque suburb located 15 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.
After studying Hillary's  religious back ground I realize where she gets her strength from.  Inspired
by God President Bill Clinton did not stand a chance. I love Hillary's no nonsense approach about life. She knows how to get the job done.

While performing your random act of kindness think about Hilliary Clinton .  God has given you the strength needed to make a change in your life.  Be a Blessing let someone know their Blessing awaits them. Afterwards go get your Blessing!

Knowledge

Genesis 2:9

King James Version (KJV)
And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Anna Julia Haywood Cooper (1858 – 1964)
African American Educator and Author
Anna J. Cooper was an author, educator, speaker, and among the leading intellectuals of her time. Born into enslavement, she wrote "A Voice from the South," widely considered one of the first articulations of Black feminism. Throughout her long life, Cooper worked for the betterment of African American women’s lives, which she saw as the foundation for a more just society for everyone. Cooper worked at Washington D.C.’s M Street -- now Dunham High School -- for nearly 40 years, focusing the all black high school on preparing students for higher education, successfully sending many students to prestigious universities.

Mrs Cooper might have been born a slave but she knew she was predestine by God to spread the word of equal knowledge like Jesus Christ.
Today as you perform a random act of kindness let someone know enslavement is a state of mind not a way of life.

Rich's

When God granted us all of his Rich's, Folorunsho Alakija did not wait for man to validate her.

Colossians 3:16-17

King James Version (KJV)
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do or all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him

Richest Black Woman In The World, Folorunsho Alakija

We didn't think it was possible, but Oprah Winfrey has been dethroned as the richest black woman in the world. The new leading lady is oil baroness Folorunsho Alakija from Nigeria.
While drilling oil has reportedly made the 61-year-old owner of FAMFA Oil Limited a very rich woman -- she is estimated to be worth at least $3.2 billion -- Alakija started her ascent to financial supremacy in fashion.
What a way to continue March the month of Women! God said he will provide all of your rich's

Today while doing a random act of kindness remember God provided enough for everyone. Be Blessing and give a Blessing!

Goodness

Psalm 145:8-9

King James Version (KJV)
The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and women we have the God given right to expect goodness Never sell yourself short.
The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works

On Jan. 12, 1915, the United States House of Representatives rejected a proposal to give women the right to vote.
On Aug. 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, guaranteeing American women the right to vote, was declared in effect.
If it took 5 years for women to get the right to vote and today we are discussing the right to bare arms and stand your ground laws.
We need to pay attention to who we let represent us.

Gods vision for all is equality. From the bedroom to the boardroom as

Women March on;

Mary
March is dedicated to celebrate the greatness and contributions of Women.Like Black History we can talk about women every day.  Let's  begin with Mary the mother of Jesus Christ
.

 Matthew 1:20-21
King James Version (KJV)
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Mary knew she was Blessed and had a very important job to perform at the request of God.
Today women all around the world have a very important role as Mother.  We must educate our children socially and in the spirit of God.  As women we usually operate on information overload because it is our nature to nurture, Love and think about everyone in the home.

As a random act of kindness share some supportive Love to any mother. Be a Blessing and extend some maternal love, to someone that has lost their mother.

God Is!

After looking at 12 Years a Slave, I realize our society still have to many people living with that slave mentality.  Either as the master or slave.  If Jesus brought together the Jew's and Gentiles he could truly change your way of thinking. No one segment of our society is superior over another.

Psalm 42:9

King James Version (KJV)

I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the  oppression of the enemy?

Don't be your own worst enemy. God has not forgotten you  The most powerful weapon we have are the thoughts in our head and the Spirit of God in our heart. Have you enslave yourself with thoughts of minimum wage, lack of education ,health care, love and poverty.
Today some segments of our society are selling lack as a way of life. You don't have to buy it.
