Networking

As parents it is so important to realize  you need a sound support system.  After God you need someone to count on.

Genesis 49:25New International Version (NIV)

25 because of your father’s God, who helps you,Image result for jesus artwork
because of the Almighty,[a] who blesses you
with blessings of the skies above,
blessings of the deep springs below,
blessings of the breast and womb

First let me say thank you God for leading me to right people. The entire Power family,Notrice,Billie, Corliss, Daniels,Jenkins and  Miller family,  I remember when Morgan was sick
my mom would fly in from Chicago or  Mrs. Jenkins would say bring her .over.

Corlis would rent a cabin and provide a camp for the week. Spring break field trips in Europe,South or Central America was planned  with friends.  I remember working in India I had to call on Aunt
Alberta and Aunt Barbara and Carmen to take care of Morgan.

This kind of love is priceless. As long as I live I thank God and these individuals with random acts of kindness.

Global Chaos

Leviticus 19:17New International Version (NIV)

A white-painted church at sunset.
Emanuel African Methodist Church
17 “‘Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilty.

Around the world from then the Gaza strip to Charleston  South Carolina we have witness hate crimes. For what?

These hate crimes began long before we were born ,before Christ.  That's why God sent his only begotten son to help us out.

Entitlement around the world is a huge problem. From a carjacking in Atlanta to the Gaza strip in the middle east.
God created us all equal .
Dylann Roof

Mugshot of Roof taken by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, June 18, 2015.  I sometimes wonder what families like Dylann Roof discuss at Sunday's dinner at Grandma's house.  I don't think it was God's word. To walk in a church and kill 9 people because of the color of their skin is evil.

Don't get it twisted from the color of your skin to the money you may have in your bank account we are created equal in the eyes of God.  Because when we die none of the above really matters. Let love and peace begin in your heart and home so that it can be taken to the streets.

Chicago's overnight violence
Chicago gang death
Finally, we must care enough to discuss what's wrong and find a good approach for resolution. We must resolve that together .because interaction does not work for everyone. And realize that sometimes distance makes for the best family comfort.  Some folks are simply meant to be left alone. You simply pray for your wayward family member and say, go with God. We must transcend our conditions.

As a random act of kindness -- pray for family, peace and harmony. Embrace a new normalcy within your family. Be a blessing and give a blessing!

Big Payback!

As parents we trust our schools to provide our children with a good education.  Why not we all pay our tax's

Mark 11:22-23New International Version (NIV)

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[a] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

Beverly Hall

Former Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Beverly Hall is accused in a cheating scandal in which bonuses were allegedly given for rising test scores and falling scores were met with intimidation, including threats of termination

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
All of the 35 educators indicted in the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal have been booked into the Fulton County Jail, with the final defendant turning herself in Wednesday afternoon.
Former D.H. Stanton Elementary Principal Willie Davenport surrendered to authorities and posted bond, said Fulton sheriff’s spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan. She’s charged with racketeering and making false statements for falsifying student records. The Fulton County Jail listed her bond as $100,000

Yes Beverly Hall made her Principal's change testing scores for the love of money. Her last bonus was over $750,000.  All thou student's didn't learn anything in class.
Beverly Hall taught us all a serious lesson,   For the love of money you can not be low down and dirty. Currently Mrs. Hall is suffering terminal cancer and may not make her Aug 11 court date.

If Beverly Hall was on Wall Street the Stock Market would have crashed.  With her Jamacia born hustle mentality she actually believed she could get away with it. I also find it amazing her former New York school district did not speak up until her arrest in Atlanta.
.
Our children and parents deserve the best and God will do the rest.  With stage 4 Brest cancer I think  God moved this mountain. You think?

As a random act of kindness let someone know low down and dirty is not healthy.  Be a Blessing give a Blessing.

Family is!

Baby
Janessa Gibb

Psalm 17:7New International Version (NIV)

Show me the wonders of your great love,
you who save by your right hand
those who take refuge in you from their foes

She told INSIDE EDITION, "When I think of my birth mother it makes me feel sad sometimes. I don't think she dropped me off because she didn't want me, but maybe because she couldn't take care of me."

Janessa is forever thankful she landed in the loving embrace of Sara who gave her a mother's love, saying, "I think she made a good decision because she needed me and I needed her.

Now, 18 years later, baby Janessa has grown up. Janessa said, "My mother means the world to me."

Janessa is so appreciative of her mother. This is a heavenly match
orchestrated by God.

Motherhood

Isaiah 66:13 says -- As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you. And, you will be comforted all over Jerusalem

Growing up I had many mothers in my life. Aunts, Cousins, Neighbors, Teachers -- were always mothering me. I learned something from each of them (cross your legs, stand up straight, say please and thank you). Being an older Mom -- I thought long and hard about the type of mother that I wanted to be.  My cousin would say thats the "Virgo" in me. Always planning and always thinking!
I recall a conversation with my OB years ago. I told her my baby had to be born in September (so we could be Virgos) and have a hebrew name. She laughed and said that I would teach my baby many things and that he would teach me to be patient. Well, he was born Oct. 1 as a Libra, ha, ha. In fact, Mothering HAS taught me to be patient. I parent via text, via phone, and via discipline and with patience. My greatest reward is that my sons honor God and treat others with dignity and respect. My greatest fear is that someone will disrespect them. All else can be fixed, changed

My friends always comments that I'm a "good mom, good mom!" My sister says "I'm a good mom -- given my limited resources." But, honestly, I don't feel extraordinary. I stress education, family and God  because knowledge is power and the cost of a limited education can hurt us all.

This is my cousin Caroline. Caroline is outstanding  mom. We both learned from our parent's you do not need to spend the most money to teach your kids basic life skills. Quality time is essential. Last week Caroline's son  David wrote a blog talking about his life skills he learned from Perdue University. David stated management of money , time and respect was important. Daniel,David and Jason Luv you!

Motherhood is the most important job in the world. Labor really begins at birth until young adulthood.

As a random act of kindness hug a mother that you come in contact with today! Be a blessing -- give a blessing of wisdom to a young mother.

Possible

It's time for our kids to go back to school.  I love featuring students doing great things.

Genesis 11:6New International Version (NIV)

The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

With God all things are possible!

Jaylen Bledsoe, 15, of Hazelwood, Mo., however, is just that rare breed of high school sophomore. He started his own tech company that specializes in web design and other IT services, Bledsoe Technologies, when he was just 13 years old and worked to expand it into a global enterprise now worth around $3.5 million, Fox 2 in St. Louis reports. The local news station followed up with Bledsoe on Monday after first interviewing the teen back in March 2012. Since that first interview, Bledsoe has grown his company from two workers to about 150 contracted employees in order to meet demand
Today Jaylen is worth $3.5 Million dollars.
It takes less energy to dream big and positive than to think evil and negative.  What a way to go Jaylin Bledsoe.

As a random act of kindness share with a young person crime does not pay. Education ,positive attitude and the love of God will make anything possible.  Be a Blessing give a Blessing!
