Smile

Psalm 16:11New International Version (NIV)

Christ with Child
Jesus with Child
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

The best defense is a good offense.  Begin your day with prayer and a smile. Everything else will fall into place like attitude and self image.  I remember a co-working asking do you always smile?  I said yes and continue walking pass her and thought to myself (there goes one of the cloud of doom sisters) we all know that group.  During the course of any given day we are face with all types of challenges that can rock our world.

Years ago I remember Dr. Barbara King doing a sermon about when the devil got your joy. He's got your good.  That thought stayed with me.

As a random act of kindness greet everyone with a positive affirmation like (I behold the Christ in you) and a smile. It works. Even if you have family members that want to take you to another place.

Be a Blessing give a Blessing!  XOXO

Work to do

Ephesians 6:13New International Version (IV)
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

. While dressing in the early morning the first layer of mental dress should be the armor of God.

When you return home from your business or job after 8hrs, care for your family, clean and cook.  You still have work to do. With the armor of God you will be equip to take a stand on political and social issues. Life does not end at the front door Boo. We have a moral and spiritual obligation to take a stand on what is fair and just

Lost in communication with the youth of today we have
not told them this is how we got our point across in the 60's. By the way with their suits on.  Along with determination and Prayer Dr. Martin Luther King  knew how to take it to the streets.  From Ferguson to Florida and  the entire World, should take a page from Martin Luther King's life and  social change.  If Nelson Mandela studied King.  Come on people it's a no brainer

Mental Illness

Galatians 4:14New International Version (NIV)

Christ and Child
14 and even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself.

I have often spoke about how important the information we receive at home can impact our life.  If you have a family member that can't grasp the purpose in life.  Ask for help.

34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
        “‘a man against his father,
            a daughter against her mother,
        a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36     a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[a]

        Stand

        Psalm 55:12-13New International Version (NIV)
        Malcolm X
12 If an enemy were insulting me,
            I could endure it;
if a foe were rising against me,
            I could hide.
13 But it is you, a man like myself,
            my companion, my close friend

In March 1964, Malcolm terminated his relationship with the Nation of Islam. Unable to look past Muhammad's deception, Malcolm decided to found his own religious organization, the Muslim Mosque, Inc.

That same year, Malcolm went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, which proved to be life altering for him. For the first time, Malcolm shared his thoughts and beliefs with different cultures and found the response to be overwhelmingly positive. When he returned, Malcolm said he had met "blonde-haired, blued-eyed men I could call my brothers." He returned to the United States with a new outlook on integration and a new hope for the future. This time when Malcolm spoke, instead of just preaching
to African-Americans, he had a message for all races.

I am glad Malcolm X went to Mecca to realize that we are all equal.  He really did not have to leave home for that. He could have pick up the Holy Bible to realize that. I am addressing the Islamic ministry because we have so many misguided people seeking somewhere to belong.

I am overjoyed about my recent visit to Morocco and hearing the Pope speak. Such life changing experiences can remind each of us about our purpose in life.

As a random act of kindness let someone know you do not have to leave home to seek God.  Be a Blessing give a Blessing of direction.
