Children and Parents

6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ² “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: ³ “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”^[a]

⁴ And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord

Some parents think that if I feed and cloth my child I'm done. That is far from the truth. I love using today's headlines to show how important it is to use God in every day
living. That does not mean all Preacher kids are Angels. 


  The fun part of  becoming a parent is the romance and sex. After the birth of this precious bundle of joy that is when the party begins.  You have work to do.  How we act and live our lives has a huge impact on our children. Ask yourself do you deserve to be honored by anyone. If we accept God into our lives he can help all of us in the development of our children. It's one thing to take your child to church . It's a whole new ball game when you practice what you preach and teach. As a parent we have so many do not's  like, don't drink and drive, don't tex and drive, don't lie ,steal, cheat and kill.

To incorporate God into your family start with the 10 commandments that is a great conversation piece. It gives all of us something to think about.  As a random act of kindness if you know someone old or young give them a copy of the 10 commandments. Be a Blessing
