Jesus’ Teaching on Prayer

11 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

He said to them, “When you pray, say:
“‘Father,[a]
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.[b]

This summer I have been studying Master Life.  I realize that their are a lot of people that do not know how to pray.  They were never taught from their parents or they don't go to church and believe in God. Prayer changes things.

As a random act of kindness show someone how to pray.  Be a Blessing give a Blessing of prayer.

Family Values

Galatians 6:2 says "Carry each others burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

But, to do this we must foster good communication skills and shared values. We must talk about the good and the bad. We must plan and exercise goal setting and time management. We must work together to seek a plan for our future and peace and harmony. We must harness our emotions and put logic into place through out our lifespan.

Boy, 11, Fatally Shoots Teenage Intruder During Home Invasion

An 11-year-old St. Louis-area boy fatally shot a 16-year-old who entered his home during an alleged home invasion Thursday, police said.
Two people had approached the home twice before Thursday, and on the third attempt entered the house through the front door, police said. The 11-year-old who lives in the home shot the 16-year-old intruder in the head, St. Louis County police said in a statement.

Why was the 16 yr old performing this act of crime?

A Woman's Work

Isaiah 66:13 says -- As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you. And, you will be comforted all over Jerusalem

Growing up I had many mothers in my life. Aunts, Cousins, Neighbors, Teachers -- were always mothering me. I learned something from each of them (cross your legs, stand up straight, say please and thank you). Being an older Mom -- I thought long and hard about the type of mother that I wanted to be.  My cousin would say thats the "Virgo" in me. Always planning and always thinking!
I recall a conversation with my OB years ago. I told her my baby had to be born in September (so we could be Virgos) and have a hebrew name. She laughed and said that I would teach my baby many things and that he would teach me to be patient. Well, he was born Oct. 1 as a Libra, ha, ha. In fact, Mothering HAS taught me to be patient. I parent via text, via phone, and via discipline and with patience. My greatest reward is that my sons honor God and treat others with dignity and respect. My greatest fear is that someone will disrespect them. All else can be fixed, changed

My friends always comments that I'm a "good mom, good mom!" My sister says "I'm a good mom -- given my limited resources." But, honestly, I don't feel extraordinary. I stress education, family and God  because knowledge is power and the cost of a limited education can hurt us all.

This is my cousin Caroline. Caroline is outstanding  mom. We both learned from our parent's you do not need to spend the most money to teach your kids basic life skills. Quality time is essential. Last week Caroline's son  David wrote a blog talking about his life skills he learned from Perdue University. David stated management of money , time and respect was important. Daniel,David and Jason Luv you!

Motherhood is the most important job in the world. Labor really begins at birth until young adulthood.

As a random act of kindness hug a mother that you come in contact with today! Be a blessing -- give a blessing of wisdom to a young mother.

Peace

Psalm 120

Come to Me Art Print
Come to me

A song of ascents.

I call on the Lord in my distress,
    and he answers me.
Save me, Lord,
    from lying lips
    and from deceitful tongues.
What will he do to you,
    and what more besides,
    you deceitful tongue?
He will punish you with a warrior’s sharp arrows,
with burning coals of the broom bush.
Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek,
that I live among the tents of Kedar!
Too long have I lived
    among those who hate peace.
I am for peace;
but when I speak, they are for war.

I know parents over the past month we have covered many what if situations concerning our kids.  Many good, bad and ugly.  Parents we can never stop speaking about Jesus Christ's truth teachings. Theses messages should be planted in our family's thoughts.  When approach with the idea of joining ISIS it will be a no brainer to follow Christ teachings.

Dream

Psalm 126

A song of ascents.

When the Lord restored the fortunes of[a] Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.[b]

Jasmine Lawrence was 11 years old when a bad relaxing perm caused her hair to fall out. "It was embarrassing, it was traumatic, it was totally shocking to me," Jasmine told "The Oprah Show" back in 2007. "It got to the point where I only had hair on the top of my head. So, I was braiding it down to cover up this area where I had no hair."

From then, she vowed to never use harsh chemicals on her hair again. Jasmine researched how to create her own all-natural hair products and it wasn't long before the teen named herself CEO and founder of EDEN BodyWorks, her own product line

Today, Jasmine is 23 years old. "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" caught up with her recently to find out how she and her company have been doing since first appearing on "The Oprah Show.
The company is reportedly worth 2 million dollars, but Jasmine says the money hasn't changed much in terms of her lifestyle. "I don't live as if I was a millionaire," she says with a laugh. "I have a normal phone. I drive a car that's from 2008 that I'm still making payments on, I'm paying my own college tuition -- just normal things so I can have the regular experiences of life."

As a random act of kindness encourage and guide a child  live their positive dream.  Be a Blessing give a Blessing.

Expectations

Expect the best and God will deliver the rest.   Yes that is called Faith.

Psalm 5:3New International Version (NIV)
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
    and wait expectantly

Expectations began when God revealed the 10 commandments.  As parents we have a moral and spiritual obligation to pass this on to our children.

As parents we must set educational moral and spiritual expectations for  our children. Our ancestors realize the need to achieve from slavery thru the industrial age.

As a random act of kindness help develop and empower our future leaders.  Be a Blessing and give a Blessing of I can.
