As a child I watch my parents work hard for the American Dream of a home ,car, food on the table and higher education. We call that getting ahead in life. Everyone took advantage of the opportunities the Civil Rights Movement presented us. Today it is known as being on the come up.  Guess what you were born on the come up! If you remember when you made your New Year's resolutions that is a promise God made to you. To always be there.

Empowerment

God mentored Jesus Christ, Jesus mentored Dr. Martin Luther King.  Dr. King was also influence in a big way by his parents and Gandhi. You have the ability to have and do great things because the power is with in you. God empowered us with free will.  If you have all ready accepted God as your power source than the only thing you have to do is plug in and use it. Free will is important in decision making.

 For example God made sure slavery must end in America. Then the civil rights movement pave the way for everyone to have equal education, employment, health care and the right to vote.
That was a lot of hard work and many miles walk by many people for you.  That was a gift from God I don't think all of those efforts were intended for us to enslave our self in credit card dept, become hostages in our own communities with crime or pass up opportunities of prosperity due to lack of knowledge. Free will allows you to make good choices.

Peace

 The Bible has shown us many messengers God has chosen like Jesus Christ.  Dr. Martin Luther King drew a line in the sand when it came to equality, freedom and Peace. God wants us to have free will and Peace.

 That Peace should begin inside of your soul. Then extend to your family, friends and community. We all must take a stand in our personal life and demand such.  Don't be afraid while traveling on your life path .  Remember God's got your back.

Today is a national holiday  celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King.  I just love him!  In my lifetime after Jesus Christ he delivered  a very powerful message with his "I have a Dream speech". Dr. King was a messenger sent by God.


 If Dr. King could make a cameo appearance today like he did  at theWashington Monument August 28,1963. He would surely say,  I had a Dream !  Some of you have turned into a living nightmare (including his own kids). Dr. King knew his purpose in life. He delivered the message and performed the duties God instructed him to do. This was a very exciting era for people.  I watched my parents and their friends rally and support the civil rights movement.  As  children we were able to learn a lot from our family and communities .  Everyone was motivated to want and do more.

Just like the struggle during the 60's the message of Equality,  Love, Peace and God's will should continue to be pass on to the next generation.  Dr. King knew that  Jesus Christ (Prince of Peace) was the first messenger place on earth by God. Jesus new his purpose as a messenger.  During the civil rights movement Dr. King as a Disciple was inspired by Jesus Christ.  Everyone that participated in the civil rights movement marched very hard (with a suit on) but they prayed harder. Dr. King was not a perfect man but he stated that he did not want his work to be in vain. I think with our youth if we start early to pass on these messages  and Pray we can save them .

Happy Birthday!

Today we are celebrating the  birthday of The First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama. God new that Michelle could multi-task. I just love our First Lady she is in your face about important issues like education,health care and family.  Michelle knows her purpose in life. As a messenger she has a way of making you think, am I doing my best with the next generation. It is obvious Michelle Obama has faith in God because it is not for the money.
